Google Voice, it has changed the way I use my phones. It records everything, be it txt messages, voicemails, phone calls, anything! One of the coolest features, is the fact that any voicemail left, is transcribed, and txt’d to your phone and sent to you in an email. It is pretty ingenious. You can have multiple phone ring to the same number.. there is too much to it to talk about in a simple blog. The only thing it has been lacking is a good iPhone app. The web interface they provided works, but it is crude. Thats where GV Mobile comes in.

Sean Kovacs http://seankovacs.com has created an awesome iPhone app that replaces the built in iPhone dialer, contact manager, voicemail, SMS, and replaces it with the Google Voice functions. Here are some screenshots:

Floors, Cars, Photos, and….puke?

Here are some pics of the floors that we did this weekend. Well, Erin and my Uncle and his buds did. I just kinda stood there and held tools.

We also got our FJ Cruiser in last wednesday night. I don’t have any pictures of it, other than what came from the dealership. I will post some up a little later on.

Also… Erin is probably going to Playa Del Carmen this summer to do a wedding shoot and she has a few jobs lined up over the next few weeks.. That pretty much is about the coolest thing I can think of. Her photography business is really taking off, and I am so proud of her.

Addi is sick, VERY sick.. she has a Dr. apt. tomorrow at 8:15, but she is puking everywere. The saddest thing is, she doesn’t know why…..

Going out to Minc tonight to see some friends. Erin and April are going to do some photography, which is really cool.. my wife is so good at it, this will be good practive for her.

I haven’t been out to a club in years. This should be fun!

Google Voice…..

Let me start off by saying, pardon my blogging skills…I’m new to this.

Wow! I got my Grandcentral account updated today to Google Voice. Being the Googlehead that I am, I will try and be as honest with my review. I am sending out my GV number to everyone, and take the plunge.. there isnt a better way to learn, than to just do it.

I have only had it for about an hour or so, so as I discover new things, etc.. I will add to this. Screenshots to come soon as well.

Off the bat, I am impressed. The user interface is comparable to that of Gmail, its googlesque to say the least. Its super easy to navigate and if you are familiar with the google products, you will be right at home. On your inbox, is everything that has happened recently with your activity, from SMS messages, to voicemails. You can respond to either in the web interface, or from whatever phone you have tethered to your GV numbmer. You can make calls within the browser, that automatically connects what phone you choose to the number you want to call. Same thing wth SMS messages. I will need to play around with this more and get back to you guys.

The iPhone needs an app for this STAT. While I can navigate thru the web browser just fine, the average joe won’t want to do this. The iPhone web interface is easy enough, but in order for this thing to take off, it needs to replace the built in contact/phone list. However.. if you have your iPhone sync your contacts with your Gmail account, then it pulls that data over to Google Voice and automatically populates your contact list.
